Lustrum wins the contract to supply and install library shelving for King Abdul Aziz University Central Library in Jeddah – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Lustrum has won the tender to supply shelving systems to the new Central Library at King Abdul Aziz University which is located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Lustrum will supply and install almost 20,000 shelving meters in the new 5 storeys central library building making this project one of Lustrum’s largest so far. Lustrum supplies, installs and services high quality shelving as well as accessories for libraries worldwide. Our products represent the best of Scandinavian design, functionality and quality. Littbus which is our innovative, flexible and comprehensive shelving system has been selected for this reputed educational institution in the Middle East.

The building is designed by the American Architectural firm HDR.  Interior space planning, design and choice of furniture was done by Arch Ramzi El Zein of Kinnarps Projects Solutions in Saudi Arabia.

King Abdul Aziz University (KAAU) is a top ranking University in Saudi Arabia and a pioneering institution for medical research as well as education in the Middle East. The approximately 5-million-square-foot University Campus Project included main academic facilities related to arts and sciences. HDR worked with the University for nearly two decades providing programming, planning and design for the Health Sciences Centre and the overall University Campus Project.
